Ronald Theodore

CEO, GIDC

Ronald Theodore was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Grenada Investment Development Corporation (GIDC) by the Board of the Directors with effect from 11 December 2018. He served previously as Senior Vice President from 1 October 2015. 

Highly regarded both regionally and locally in the field of investment promotion and facilitation, Theodore served with distinction as the President of the Caribbean Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (CAIPA) from 2012 to 2014 and prior to that, as its 1st Vice President from 2010 to 2012. He also serves as a Member of the Citizen By Investment Committee. Theodore is the holder of an MBA from Heriot-Watt University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of the West Indies with a major in Economics and a minor in Management. 

Over the last 17 years at GIDC, the CEO’s career has spanned the roles of Investment Promotion Officer, Investment Promotion Manager, and Vice President. He has had responsibility for developing strategies to attract and facilitate foreign direct investment (FDI) as well as advocating on behalf of investors to improve Grenada’s competitiveness. 

Royston A. Cumberbatch

VP, Investment Promotion Agency 

Royston Cumberbatch was appointed to the position of Vice President, Investment Promotion Agency with effect from 1st October 2021, bringing a wide array of experience in project management, Investment operations, finance, and marketing. Mr Cumberbatch is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and holds an MBA from Oxford Brookes University.  

  Before joining GIDC, Mr. Cumberbatch resided in the United Kingdom, providing consultancy, project management, and investment operations management services to some world-renown financial services Corporations such as Aviva, State Street bank, HSBC. He has also worked extensively with business owners and investors, helping them increase their companies’ financial strength and market their business better to increase sales and profitability. 

Cathyann Alexander-Pierre

Senior Specialist, Investment Promotion

Cathy Ann Alexander-Pierre is an investment promotion and policy specialist with over 15 years of experience facilitating investments in Grenada for both local and foreign companies.

As the Senior Specialist, Cathy Ann oversees the services provided by the IPA to potential and existing investors and specializes in investment promotion and attraction, economic diplomacy, trade agreements and policy, investment incentives policy, and negotiation.

Cathy Ann has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Edinburgh Business School – Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies. 

Sheryl-Anne Sylvester

Investment Promotion Specialist

Sheryl-Anne Sylvester has more than 25 years of experience supporting investors through all stages of investing in Grenada.

As the Investment Facilitation Specialist, Sheryl-Anne works with investors by providing all requisite handholding support to turn project ideas into investment ventures. This includes providing information about investment opportunities and doing business in Grenada, arranging meetings with Government and stakeholder institutions, facilitating site visits for evaluation and monitoring, and offering investor aftercare support.
